Janet Komen has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Janet is currently working as an Accountant at Ol Pejeta Ranching Limited, where they are responsible for ensuring timely payments, resolving financial issues, and reporting daily revenue. Prior to this, they worked as a Team Lead Accountant Receivable at Ennsvalley Bakery Limited, where they managed credit control and cash collection. Janet also worked as a Credit Controller at Uplands Premium Dairies and Foods Limited and Sameer Agriculture and Livestock(K) Limited, where they implemented credit control policies and maximized cash collection. Additionally, they worked as a Trainer at Kenya Institute of Professional Counselling, teaching various subjects and assisting with examination coordination. Earlier in their career, Janet worked as an Accounts Assistant at ELIMU SACCO Ltd, where they handled member accounts, loan processing, and bank reconciliations.

Janet Komen completed their undergraduate studies at Egerton University from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) degree with a focus on Accounting. Following this, they pursued their professional certification in accounting and graduated from KASNEB in 2015. During their time at KASNEB, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
