Paloma Velasquez

Paloma Velasquez has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Paloma is currently working as a Research Associate I at OliX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where they specialize in oligonucleotide purification and analysis. In this role, they have developed and optimized methods for the purification of chemically modified oligonucleotides, troubleshooted mechanical issues with lab equipment, and implemented new QMS compliant Standard Operating Procedures.

Prior to their current role, Paloma served as a Research Intern at OliX Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they prepared buffers, conducted measurements using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, and analyzed HPLC fractions.

Paloma also has experience as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health, where they worked from April 2020 to December 2021.

In addition, Paloma worked as a Biology Team Lead at Triton Prosthetics from September 2018 to February 2021. Paloma also briefly worked as an Ophthalmic Technician at North Bay Vitreoretinal Consultants from June 2019 to September 2019.

Paloma gained early experience in their field as a Chemistry Department Intern at Sonoma State University in June and July 2017.

Paloma Velasquez attended UC San Diego from 2018 to 2022 and obtained a degree in Bioengineering, specializing in Biotechnology.
