Eleanor Sobczyk is the Individual Giving & Special Events Manager at Olney Theatre Center. Eleanor has been with the organization since September 2021. Prior to that, they were a Marketing and Development Apprentice at the Olney Theatre Center from September 2021 to January 2022.

Eleanor's professional journey began when they interned with UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) from September 2020 to April 2021. There, they constructed detailed reports on events and meetings held by UN-Habitat, the UN General Assembly, and other UN entities; authored and designed the monthly newsletter for the office; facilitated the creation and posting of daily social media content.

In June 2018, Eleanor became a Teaching Artist at Round House Theatre where they aided teachers in the classroom by guiding students one-on-one and enriching the lesson; engaged with students through demonstrations and exercises. The following year, they interned with the Round House Theatre in their Education Department.

From May 2018 to May 2020, Eleanor was Artistic Director at University Players. In this role, they were responsible for the artistic vision of the company and oversaw all artistic elements of production. From May 2017 to May 2018, Eleanor served as Managing Director of University Players where they managed all aspects of the company's operations.

Eleanor Sobczyk has a Bachelor's degree in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management from Indiana University Bloomington.

They are on a team with Colleen Robinson Miller - Advancement Operations Manager, Michael Mercier - Deputy Director of Advancement, Institutional Giving. Eleanor Sobczyk reports to Dina Goldman, Director of Advancement.
