Shawn Zimmerman

Shawn Zimmerman has a strong background in the field of reproductive medicine and laboratory work. Shawn currently serves as the Laboratory Director at Oma Fertility since September 2022. Prior to this, Shawn held the position of Regional Laboratory Director at Kindbody from May 2022 to August 2022. Shawn also worked as the Lab Director at Vios Fertility Institute from September 2015 to May 2022. Previously, Shawn served as the Laboratory Director/Embryologist at the Missouri Center for Reproductive Medicine from May 2013 to September 2015. Shawn also gained experience as an Embryologist/Andrologist at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Robotic Surgery from May 2012 to May 2013. Additionally, Shawn worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Missouri from August 2007 to May 2012. Prior to this, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Dr. Lisa Freeman Laboratory from May 2006 to August 2007. Shawn began their career at Kansas State University as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2005 to August 2007. Shawn also worked as a Team Member/Animal Care Taker at the Kansas State Veterinary Hospital from August 2001 to September 2003.

Shawn Zimmerman obtained their Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science from Kansas State University, which they attended from 2000 to 2005. Shawn then pursued a Master's of Science in Reproductive Physiology at Kansas State University from 2005 to 2007. Continuing their academic journey, Zimmerman enrolled in the University of Missouri from 2007 to 2012, where they successfully earned their PhD in Reproductive Physiology.
