Tuomo Balk

Tuomo Balk serves as the Chief of Medicine at Oma Häme - Kanta-Hämeen hyvinvointialue since January 2023 and has been a Clinical Researcher at the Tampere Center for Child Health Research since January 2006, focusing on neonatal stress and hydration in preterm infants. Previously, Tuomo Balk held positions including Associate Chief Physician and Neuropediatric Specialist for Hämeenlinnan kaupunki and Director of Medical Services at Rinnekoti-Säätiö. With extensive experience as a Specialising Neuropediatrist at various hospitals, Tuomo Balk has also co-founded DoctorMe, a mobile health service initiative. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Medicine from the University of Tampere and expertise in Pediatric Neurology and Adolescent Medicine.
