Rick Garcia

Rick Garcia has over 25 years of experience in the power generation industry, currently serving as a Sr. Operations Training Specialist and Assistant Fire Marshal at Omaha Public Power District since May 1998. In this role, Rick provides training based on Systems Approach to Training (SAT) for Operations personnel, including Fire Brigade and Emergency Planning Training. Previous positions at Omaha Public Power District include Supervisor of Operations Training, where Rick managed equipment operator training programs, and Operations Training Specialist, focusing on both plant systems and human performance training. Earlier experience includes roles as a Non-licensed Operator at Omaha Public Power District and Power Plant Operator at Sunflower Electric Power Corporation. Rick's career began as a Quality Control Inspector at Iowa Beef Processing. Rick holds education credentials from Garden City Community College and Holcomb High School.
