Community Columnist - Op Ed Writer at Omaha World-Herald

Rick Galusha PhD is a distinguished academic and community columnist with extensive experience in education and media. Currently serving as a Community Columnist and Op-Ed Writer for the Omaha World-Herald since May 2020, Galusha is also a Professor and Program Director at Bellevue University, where responsibilities include course creation and enhancing students' writing skills. In addition to a successful academic career, Galusha has been a Radio Host & Programmer for "Pacific Street Blues & Americana" since December 1989 and co-founded RadiOmaha.com from March 2013 to June 2016. With a strong educational background, including a PhD in Political Science from the University of South Dakota, Galusha has held various roles, including Associate Director of the Center for American Visions and Values and President of Homer's Music Stores from 1986 to 2005.
