Lewis Pennicott has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lewis is currently a Principal Scientist at OMass Therapeutics since June 2021. Previously, they worked at the University of Sussex, where they held various roles including Laboratory Manager and Medicinal Chemistry Research Fellow II from July 2014 to June 2021, and Medicinal Chemistry Research Fellow from July 2011 to June 2014. Prior to that, they were a Senior Scientist at Evotec from July 2010 to July 2011. Lewis also co-founded and served as the Managing Director of Susschem Ltd, where they worked as a Research Chemist from September 2006 to July 2010. Lewis had earlier worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Sussex from September 2005 to September 2006. Additionally, they served as a DPhil CASE Student at AstraZeneca for a brief period in 2004. Lewis started their career as a Sandwich Placement at Aventis CropScience in Frankfurt from September 2000 to September 2001. Throughout their career, Lewis has gained experience in various fields including medicinal chemistry, laboratory management, and research.

Lewis Pennicott attended the University of Sussex from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry (Sandwich). Lewis then continued their education at the same university, completing a DPhil in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from 2002 to 2008.
