Ivan Bobrov has a strong background in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management. Ivan began their career in 1993 at the Russian Federal Mining and Industrial Safety Inspectorate, where they played a role in developing HSE legislation. Ivan then worked at RUSAL as a Health & Safety Corporate Manager, overseeing activities at 20 facilities and managing a large number of employees. Ivan later joined Baker Hughes as an HS&E Specialist, coordinating and executing safety and environmental programs. Ivan then held the position of Director Health & Safety at SUAL HOLDING, where they initiated and implemented the "Safety First!" Project across 18 facilities. Ivan then served as an HSE Director at Severstal, ensuring compliance with regulatory and business HSE requirements across 50 facilities and a high number of employees. Ivan subsequently joined DuPont Sustainable Solutions as a Senior Consultant and Project Manager, providing support for HSE committees, cultural change, and leadership development. Most recently, Ivan has been working at UC RUSAL as the HSE Director for the Downstream Division, implementing comprehensive cultural change programs and management tools that resulted in a significant decrease in incident frequency rate. Ivan is currently the Head of HSE Risk Mitigation & Management Practice at the United Metallurgical Company since 2023.
Ivan Bobrov attended Donetsk National Technical University from 1983 to 1990, where they earned a Mining Engineering degree with honors. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. degree in Engineering through a Post Graduate Study at the same university from 1990 to 1993.
