Shirley Bernsen, PMP, ITIL, CSM

Shirley Bernsen, PMP, ITIL, CSM has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Shirley began their career in 1995 at Sulzer Intermedics as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for software engineering, software process improvement and team leadership. In 2000, they joined BMC Software as a Senior Product Developer with responsibilities in product management and solution development. Shirley then moved to Cyberonics in 2001 as Software QA Manager, where they were responsible for business analysis, SDLC and team leadership. In 2007, they joined Quantlab Group as Senior IT Project Manager, where they managed IT, Software Development and Technology Team programs, over multiple PM roles. From 2018 to present, they have been the Director of Engineering at OMNI Flow Computers, Inc. where they direct and leads a cross functional team in the design, development, maintenance and support of special purpose / flow computers. Shirley has also received Baldrige training via Quality Texas Foundation in Leadership, Employee Engagement, Strategic Planning and Auditor, and Birkman Signature Certification in 2020.

Shirley Bernsen holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Shirley also holds a Birkman Certified Professional certification obtained in March 2020, an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management obtained in January 2015, a Project Management Professional certification obtained in July 2014, and a Certified ScrumMaster certification obtained in November 2010. Shirley graduated from Galena Park High School.
