Vanessa Bernhart Verlaan

Vanessa Bernhart Verlaan has over 17 years of experience in operations, strategy, HR, and finance. Vanessa began their career in 2003 as a Consultant for Adecco. In 2004, they became a Trainee for Luchtverkeersleiding Nederland. In 2006, they were appointed as the Hub Control | Operations Manager for Martinair. From 2009 to 2018, they held various roles at USG People, including Managing Director USG ICT Professionals, Business Process Manager, Regional Manager, and Manager HR Coordination Office. In 2018, they became the Operations Director for Spargle. Most recently, they have been the COO of Omnia Retail since 2019, where they have been responsible for leading key operations programs, M&A, building and reinforcing company culture, and creating a strong employer value proposition.

Vanessa Bernhart Verlaan is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Management & Organization at TIAS School for Business and Society, which they began in 2022. Prior to this, they completed an Executive Management Programme at Vlerick Business School in 2016-2017. Before that, they had obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from NCOI Opleidingen and a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management from Schoevers. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Assessor Facet 5 from InContext Consultancy Group (2015), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from UPD - Join the Spark* (2013), and Prince 2 Foundation from EXIN your ICT competence partner (2010).
