Richard Gillingham

CTO and Chief Architect at OMNIO

Richard Gillingham has over 30 years of experience in the software industry. Richard began their career in 1990 as a Senior Developer at Sky Installations. In 1992 they moved to WorkGroup Systems, where they eventually finished as Chief Architect. In 1997, they joined CGI as a Senior Technical Architect. In 2001, they founded Software Edge Limited, where they served as Technical Director and Architect of the primary product, Business Centre Manager. In 2004, they became an Architect and shareholder at RJMetis Limited. In 2005, they served as a Contract at Prohire Software Systems, where they architected and delivered a solution to interconnect 500+ deployed Prohire installations. Richard also delivered Vehicle Hire Net (VHN), an ecommerce capability. At the same time, they were Vice President Software at LectureLine Inc., where they were responsible for defining the technical solution required to service a potentially huge number of customers. In 2012, they joined Ensygnia Limited as Vice President Engineering, where they were building a team of engineers and defining the architecture to deliver the software assets required to realise the value of the patent. Currently, they are CTO and Chief Architect at OMNIO.

Richard Gillingham attended the University of Birmingham from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained a BEng Hons in Electronic and Communications Engineering.
