Sondre Halvorsen

Sondre Halvorsen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sondre commenced their career as a Menig in the Norwegian Armed Forces from June 2013 to June 2014. In 2016, Sondre worked as a Web Developer at Giraff Media AS for a short period of one month. Sondre then transitioned to a role as a Consultant at StudentConsulting, where they were placed at Eli Lilly Oslo from March 2016 to August 2017.

In 2017, Sondre joined Eli Lilly and Company as an Assistant Webmaster, focusing on upkeep with CRMs and developing digital marketing content. Sondre worked on Python integration scripts between isolated CRMs and was engaged in HTML/CSS and JavaScript programming.

Returning to the NAV organization in 2018, Sondre completed a summer internship at NAV IT AI-lab, where they worked on a project involving open data from NAV and its utility in data science and machine learning applications. Sondre enjoyed hands-on experience with projects such as developing data pipeline tooling.

From January 2020 to July 2020, Sondre transitioned to the role of a Data Engineer at NAV. Simultaneously, they pursued their studies while taking up a part-time (40%) software developer position. Sondre focused on implementing an event-driven core decision engine utilizing Kotlin, Gradle, and Kafka for the new sick benefits solution at NAV.

Sondre actively continued this part-time (40%) software developer position at NAV while collaborating in writing their master thesis with the NAV application platform team from January 2021 to August 2021. During this time, they researched approaches to implement support for OAuth and OIDC in a Kubernetes service mesh.

Sondre's most recent work experience is at Omny, where they began as a Software Engineer in January 2023. Details on this role are not available beyond the start date.
