Ulrich Bieg

Ulrich Bieg is an experienced geoscientist and manager in the oil and gas sector, currently serving as Department Manager E&A Strategy at OMV since January 2020. Previously, Bieg held various senior positions at OMV Petrom, including Senior Development Geoscientist and Senior Explorationist, where significant achievements included leading major capital projects and successful exploration initiatives in the Black Sea region. Prior roles at Rohöl Aufsuchungs AG involved diverse responsibilities, from coordinating drilling projects as an Operations Geologist to developing geological models as a Geoscientist for unconventional resources. Bieg's academic background includes a Dr. rer. nat. and Diplom Geologe from the University of Tübingen, supplemented by experience as an Assistant Professor in Sedimentology.
