Germán Baños

Germán Baños has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Germán currently serves as the Global Product Manager at OnRobot since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Universal Robots A/S, where they held multiple positions. Germán started as the Regional Technical Support Engineer for South Europe & MEA in November 2015 and served in this role until December 2017. From October 2017 to January 2020, they worked as a Senior Global Applications Engineer. Then, they became the Head of Applications for SEMEA & UK from February 2020 to February 2022. Before joining Universal Robots A/S, Germán Baños worked at Metalsa from May 2013 to September 2015, where they held roles such as Robotics Specialist, Automation Project Responsible, and Automation and Robotics Coordinator. Their career also includes working at ABB as a Project Engineer and Application Engineer from December 2007 to May 2013. Furthermore, they served as a Professor of the subject Technology and Application of Robots at Instituto de Formación Técnica Superior N° 14 from July 2008 to May 2012. Germán started their professional journey as a PLC and HMI Programmer at Systelec in August 2007, where they worked until November 2007.

Germán Baños attended the University of Buenos Aires from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering. In 2012, they briefly studied Project Management at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires'. Prior to their university education, Germán Baños completed their Bachelor's specializing in Exact Sciences, Technology, and Design at Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires from 1998 to 2003. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Pragmatic Certified Product Manager from Pragmatic Institute in November 2022.
