Chris Sole

Chris Sole has a strong background in software engineering and management. Chris is currently working as the Director of Software Engineering at On the Beach since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Engineering at Santander UK from December 2019 to January 2023. Chris also worked as the Head of Internet Banking and Director at Barclays UK from June 2017 to November 2019. Before that, Chris held the position of Head of Digital Software Development at Argos from October 2015 to May 2017. Furthermore, they worked at Marks and Spencer as the Head of Web Engineering and interim Head of Software Engineering from August 2014 to October 2015. Chris was also a Development Manager at Marks and Spencer from June 2012 to July 2014. Prior to that, Chris served as the Ecommerce UI Development Manager at Thomas Cook from June 2008 to June 2012. Chris started their career at Steria (at Barclaycard) as a Senior Developer and later took on a PM role before leaving in July 2008.

From 1992 to 1995, Chris Sole attended Coventry University. The specific degree obtained and field of study pursued during this time period is unknown.
