Matt Burgess

Matt Burgess has a strong background in software development and engineering. Matt is currently working as an Engineering Lead at On the Beach since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Linnworks from November 2021 to August 2022, where they developed premium warehouse management functionality and took on scrum master duties. Matt also worked at Dorset Software Services Limited from 2013, taking on various roles such as Senior Software Developer, Scrum Master, and Graduate Developer Mentor. During their time at Dorset Software, Matt contributed to projects for Rightmove, Siemens Mobility, and the Innovation Group, leading teams, providing technical designs, and delivering high-quality software solutions. Matt has experience in a range of technologies including Java, Spring Boot, C#, and the Microsoft stack.

Matt Burgess attended the University of Cambridge from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a degree in Natural Sciences with a focus on Astrophysics. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance in June 2022 and obtained the Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification in 2016 from Microsoft.
