Mike Fisher, PhD, has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the biotechnology and healthcare industries. Mike is currently the Vice President and Head of Business Development at Oncimmune, a global leader in immunodiagnostics. In this role, Mike is responsible for discovering and validating novel biomarkers, improving treatment responses, and enhancing patient screening and diagnostic accuracy. Prior to joining Oncimmune, Mike served as the Commercial Director for the same company.
Throughout their career, Mike has held several other strategic positions in the industry. Mike was the European Producer for TechNation & BiotechNation, where they focused on the impact of technology and science on modern life. Mike also served as the Director of Strategic Alliances at Abcodia Ltd, a specialist company engaged in the validation and discovery of biomarkers linked to age-related diseases.
Before that, Mike worked as the Business Development Director at Bio Nano Consulting Ltd, the first consultancy in Europe to focus on the interface between bio and nanotechnology. Mike also held the position of Theme Manager for Healthcare & Life Sciences at the Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network.
Additionally, Mike has experience in advisory roles. Mike served as an Advisor at Barrack Hill Partners and as a Life Science Industry Advisor for North America at the UK Trade and Investment organization. Mike also held the position of Head of International Relations at Bionow, a biotech cluster group.
Mike began their career as a Consultant/Innovation Practitioner at Pera, where they initiated the UK Texas Collaborative Programme in Bioscience. Mike also worked as a Biotechnology Project Manager at Bionow.

Mike Fisher PhD received their Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Applied Chemistry & Biochemistry from The University of Huddersfield, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they pursued their PhD in Medicinal Chemistry (HIV Protease) at The University of Huddersfield from 1993 to 1997.
