Niyubahwe Marie Suavis

Niyubahwe Marie Suavis currently serves as the Burundi People Division Lead and head of the human resources department at One Acre Fund, a position held since July 2015. In this role, Niyubahwe is responsible for recruiting top talent to further the organization's mission, overseeing the entire recruitment process from sourcing candidates to leading interviews. Additionally, Niyubahwe provides legal support by conducting research and advising leadership on various legal matters. Prior to this, Niyubahwe worked as a Legal Advisor for the International Rescue Committee from March 2013 to July 2015. Niyubahwe holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Burundi National University, earned between 2004 and 2009.
