Erik Björn has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Erik started their career in 2006 as a Manager of the foyer shop at Coop, where they worked until 2013. Erik then worked as a Cashier at Coop from 2014 to 2017. During this time, they also collaborated with Energía y Ambiente, S.A. for their Master's thesis, where they investigated the nitrogen cycle in their aquaponic systems.
In 2017, Erik joined The County Administrative Board of Södermanland County as a Project Manager. Erik managed a EU-financed project aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in becoming more efficient in energy use. Erik also authored an annual report on energy and emission statistics in the county and was a member of the county council on climate and energy.
In 2019, Erik joined Sweco as a Project Manager and Environmental and Sustainability Consultant. In this role, they conducted over 20 projects related to Life Cycle Assessments, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and Carbon Management. Erik also delivered 5 Environmental Impact Assessments and developed a model for mapping Sweco Sweden's carbon footprint according to the GHG Protocol.
Most recently, Erik has joined One Click LCA in 2022 as a Business Development Engineer.
Erik Björn's education history is as follows:
From 2003 to 2006, Erik Björn attended Frans Schartau and obtained a Gymnasieexamen degree in Företagsekonomi.
From 2012 to 2015, Erik Björn pursued their Bachelor's degree at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in Energy and Environment.
In 2015, Erik Björn began their Master's degree program at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, focusing on Technology and Sustainable Development. Erik completed this program in 2017.
During their Master's degree studies, in 2016 and 2017, Erik Björn also attended Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, pursuing another Master's degree in Sustainable Science and Technology.
In addition to their formal education, Erik Björn has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed a Project Management course at Gotlandsakademin. Erik also received training in Change and Process Management and Communications from Länsstyrelserna in the same year.
Furthermore, in 2019, Erik Björn obtained a certification in Carbon Footprint in accordance with the GHG-protocol from Aktuell Hållbarhet Utbildning.
Most recently, in 2021, Erik Björn completed Project Management 1 & 2 courses offered by Sweco.
