Shannon Shaw-Pace has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in women's health and supporting vulnerable populations. Starting in 2012, they served as the Clinic Administrator for The Birthing Project Clinic, where they oversaw administration and operations, developed strategic direction, and formed collaborative relationships to reduce infant mortality. From 2013 to 2015, Shannon worked as a Program Manager at the Center for Community Heath & Well-Being, where they developed and enhanced programming for women and adolescent females, including playing a key role in the design and implementation of the flagship program, Black Mothers United. In 2015, they were selected as the Clinic Manager for Peach Tree Health, leading the consolidation of two community-based clinics into a regional service provider and managing staff to ensure high-quality care during the transition. In 2016, Shannon became the Executive Director of Shannon'sHealth First, a struggling nonprofit providing critical services to vulnerable populations. Under their leadership, they spearheaded a rebranding effort and redirected the organization's focus to flagship service lines that delivered statistically significant results. Currently, Shannon works as the Director of Women's Health at One Community Health Sacramento, a role they have held since 2023.

Shannon Shaw-Pace, MPA, holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. This degree was obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, Shannon completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication, English from Saint Mary's College of California, from 2005 to 2008.
