Joshua Belayan

Joshua Belayan is an experienced consultant and advisor focused on climate governance and youth engagement. Currently serving as a Youth Meaningful Engagement in Climate Governance Consultant for UNDP and an Ambassador for One Young World, Joshua also contributes as a Youth Advisor for SEACHA. Prior roles include a Research Assistant at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, supporting significant research projects related to plant propagation and energy efficiency. Previously, Joshua acted as Country Co-Director and Director of Finance and Sponsorship for the ASEAN Youth Advocates Network and represented Brunei as a YSEALI Academic Fellow in Environmental Studies at the University of Hawaii. Additional roles included a Teaching Fellow at the East-West Center and environmental internships that involved advanced environmental surveying techniques. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universiti Brunei Darussalam and has participated in various initiatives to amplify the voices of young environmental advocates.
