Michael Thomson

Michael Thomson has significant experience in engineering and software development. Michael currently holds the role of Head of Engineering at Advanced, where they are responsible for integrating various technologies and systems, maintaining team performance, and overseeing software solutions. Prior to this, they worked at CloudTrade for several years, starting as a Software Engineer and progressing to roles such as Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, and ultimately Head of Engineering. During their time at CloudTrade, they played a crucial role in the transformation of the company's infrastructure to a cloud-native, microservices-oriented structure. Michael also mentored and guided the engineering team through this restructuring process, enhancing service delivery and system performance. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated a commitment to improving code quality, system stability, and implementing cutting-edge technologies.

Michael Thomson attended Newcastle University from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
