Sahana Dharmapuri

Sahana Dharmapuri has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sahana began their career as the Director of Congressional Relations at the Center for Middle East Peace, where they established the Research & Congressional Relations Program and managed high-level officials involved in Middle East peace negotiations. Sahana then served as the Director of Public Affairs at the Fair Labor Association, where they focused on addressing labor rights, particularly women's rights in developing countries. Sahana then worked as a Media Manager at the Ashoka Foundation, collaborating with the Global Development team on U.S. programs. Sahana later joined USAID as a Gender Advisor, implementing projects to improve women's inheritance and property rights in several countries. Sahana also worked as an Independent Consultant, providing guidance and advising various organizations on diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. Currently, they serve as the Director of the Our Secure Future Program at the One Earth Future Foundation, where they drive research and strategy to promote women, peace, and security.

Sahana Dharmapuri holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Anthropology from the University of Chicago. Additionally, they have obtained two Master of Arts degrees (MAs) from the same institution: one in Public Policy and another in Middle East Studies.
