David Berthene

David Berthene has a diverse work experience in the field of geology and environmental investigations. David is currently working as a Project Geologist at Oneida ESC Group (OESC) since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Trevet as a Staff Geologist from June 2018 to November 2021. In this role, they served as a Field Team Leader for environmental investigations at over 20 CERCLA sites on military installations throughout the US. David managed the installation of more than 100 soil borings or monitoring wells and authored planning documents, providing support to Project Managers.

Before joining Trevet, David worked at Bay West LLC as a Field Geologist from December 2015 to June 2018. During this time, they supported the management of environmental investigations at 15 MPCA sites in Minnesota. David was recognized as Field Staff of the Year in 2017 and served as a leader and mentor to entry-level geologists.

Prior to their role at Bay West LLC, David worked at Clean Harbors as a Chemist from April 2015 to December 2015. In this position, they safely and efficiently transported regulated hazardous waste, consulted clients on reducing waste transportation costs, and managed the hazardous waste stream for Children's Hospital in Minneapolis and St.

David Berthene obtained a Certificate in Cybersecurity from UC San Diego Extended Studies, with an end year of 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Geology/Earth Science, General from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, starting in 2012 and finishing in 2014. In addition to their formal education, they also hold a CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA, obtained in June 2021.
