Sherry L. Monastyrski

Sherry L. Monastyrski currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Oneida Nation of the Thames, a position held since July 2023, having previously acted as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Prior roles include Chief of Staff for the Assembly of First Nations and Senior Director of the Rights and Justice Branch, demonstrating extensive leadership in Indigenous governance. Earlier experience includes roles as Chief of Staff and Director of Policy and Political Affairs with the Chiefs of Ontario, as well as positions with the Indigenous Law Student Association and the Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians. Sherry's educational background includes a Doctor of Law from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Arts in Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and First Nations Studies from Western University.
