Responsibilities

  • Lead the division order process, including reviewing title opinions, lease agreements, contracts, and other relevant documents to determine ownership interests and obligations.

  • Calculate and verify royalty payments, working interest, and overrides, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Analyze complex legal and contractual documents, identifying discrepancies and resolving title issues to accurately determine ownership interests.

  • Collaborate with Land, and Accounting to obtain necessary information and resolve inquiries related to ownership interests, revenue discrepancies, and legal matters.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, market dynamics, and division order best practices for ensuring royalty compliance.

  • Aid in creating comprehensive division order reports, presentations, and documentation aimed at internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide leadership to division order staff orchestrating task assignments and fostering cohesive collaboration to accomplish objectives successfully.

  • Safeguard and cultivate strong client confidentiality while nurturing long-lasting relationships that contribute significantly to client satisfaction, loyalty, and business growth.

Skills

  • Proficiency in interpreting legal documents, contracts, and title opinions.
  • In-depth knowledge of division order processes, royalty calculations, and ownership allocation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership qualities with experience in mentoring and guiding junior analysts.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards pertaining to division orders and royalty compliance.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in energy related field a plus.
  • CDOA, CPLTA, CPL, or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Division Order experience
