Jochem Gietema

Jochem Gietema has had a diverse work experience, starting in 2017 as a Freelance Software Developer at Giete.ma. In 2018, they worked as a Back End Developer at Makerstreet. In 2019, they joined Fellowship.AI as a Machine Learning Fellow, where they had the opportunity to build real-world applications. Later in 2019, they became an Associate Data Scientist at Onfido, a company specializing in AI-based technology for remote and secure customer onboarding. In 2020, Gietema was promoted to the role of Research Engineer at Onfido.

Jochem Gietema has a strong educational background, with multiple degrees and certifications. Jochem attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. During this time, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy, which they completed in 2013. Jochem then continued their studies at VU Amsterdam and earned a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in both Internet, Intellectual Property and IT as well as Criminal Law, graduating in 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Jochem has also obtained various certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills. Jochem completed the "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning" course offered by Coursera in August 2019. Jochem also completed the "Convolutional Neural Networks in TensorFlow" course from Coursera in the same month and year. Furthermore, they completed the "Fastai Deep Learning Part II" program at the University of San Francisco in May 2019. Lastly, they obtained an edX Verified Certificate for the "Introduction to Computer Science" course, although the specific month and year are not provided.
