Radu Tudoran

Radu Tudoran has extensive work experience in various technology-related roles. Radu is currently the Director of Engineering at Onfido, where they oversee the SDK department responsible for integrating Onfido products across platforms to provide a seamless digital identity experience for enterprise customers.

Before joining Onfido, Radu worked at Amazon as a Software Development Manager from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Software Engineering Manager at Lyft between 2019 and 2020.

Radu also has a significant research background. Radu held multiple roles at Huawei Technologies, including Principal Research Engineer, Staff Research Engineer, Senior Research Engineer, and Research Engineer, from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, they were a Doctoral Program Fellow at EIT ICT Labs from 2013 to 2014, and a Visiting PhD Student at Argonne National Laboratory in 2013.

Earlier in their career, Radu gained experience through internships at Microsoft - European Microsoft Innovation Center in 2013 and 2012, and worked as a researcher at UTCN from 2008 to 2010.

During their time at Inria, Radu pursued their PhD and focused on cloud data management for data-intensive applications. Their research also explored programming models for executing scientific applications.

Radu Tudoran began their education in 2002 at the Highschool of Computer Science (Liceul de Informatica) Cluj Napoca, where they pursued a baccalaureate degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Radu completed their bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca from 2006 to 2010. Following that, they enrolled at École normale supérieure de Cachan (ENS Cachan) and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2011. Continuing their academic journey, Radu Tudoran joined École normale supérieure de Rennes, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from 2011 to 2014.
