Larry Fantroy

Larry Fantroy has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Larry joined Onfido in 2019 and currently holds the position of Senior Legal Counsel (US). Previously, from 2017 to 2018, Larry worked at Houlihan Lokey as a Tech+IP Advisory, providing legal advice and support for strategic M&A transactions in the technology and intellectual property sectors. Before that, they worked as an Intellectual Property Attorney at Maynard Cooper & Gale, where they assisted in drafting patent applications and developing patent strategies. From 2011 to 2015, Larry worked as an Attorney at Starnes Davis Florie LLP, gaining experience in healthcare litigation and compliance. Larry began their career at Alabama Power Company, where they served as an Engineer in various roles related to transmission planning, system control, reliability, and substation maintenance.

Larry Fantroy received their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from Samford University, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Auburn University at Montgomery from 2005 to 2007. Larry completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating in 2004.

In terms of certifications, Larry obtained the Registered In-House Counsel certification from the State Bar of California in August 2020. Larry also holds the Patent Attorney Registration from the United States Patent & Trademark Office, which they acquired in May 2016. Additionally, Larry obtained the State Bar of Tennessee certification in June 2013 and the State Bar of Alabama certification in September 2011.
