Olivier Koch

Olivier Koch has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Olivier is currently the VP of AI at Onfido, where they lead the machine learning teams in using computer vision and machine learning for online identity verification. Olivier previously worked as the Director of AI at Onfido and was responsible for overseeing AI initiatives.

Prior to joining Onfido, Olivier worked at Criteo as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they managed teams and delivered significant revenue increment using neural networks. Olivier also served as a Staff Machine Learning Lead at Criteo, where they built machine learning algorithms for product recommendation at a large scale.

Before their time at Criteo, Olivier worked at Thales Optronique SA as an Image Processing Team Lead, managing a team of research engineers and developing algorithms for defense applications. Olivier also worked as an Image Processing Engineer at Thales Optronique SA, specializing in C and C++ programming.

Olivier's earlier experience includes serving as a PhD Candidate/Research Assistant at MIT, where they designed and developed algorithms for navigation using uncalibrated cameras. Olivier was also a core member of the DARPA Urban Challenge MIT Team. Olivier started their career as a Real-time Software Engineer at General Electric Healthcare.

Throughout their career, Olivier has demonstrated expertise in machine learning, image processing, and algorithm development. Olivier has successfully led teams, managed projects, and delivered impactful results in various domains.

Olivier Koch pursued their education in mathematics and computer science. Olivier first enrolled in ENSTA Paris from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained an Engineer's degree. Following that, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2007, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science. Olivier further advanced their education at MIT and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics and Computer Science from 2007 to 2010.
