Petko D. Petkov

Petko D. Petkov has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Petko is currently the Vice President of Information Security at Onfido, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Information Security at the same company from November 2018 to April 2022. In addition to their role at Onfido, Petkov is also the Founder of ChatBotKit, a company they started in December 2022. Petko has also founded other companies, including BountyPage in November 2022, Cohesion in July 2012, SecApps in January 2015, and Websecurify in April 2012. Petkov has held various information security positions in different organizations, such as Santander UK as an Information Security Principle from April 2018 to November 2018, The Rank Group plc as an Information Security Principle from July 2015 to November 2017, Betfair as an Information Security Specialist from October 2011 to June 2015, and Corsaire as an Information Security Consultant and Penetration Tester from November 2008 to October 2011. Throughout their career, Petkov has gained significant expertise in areas such as security architecture, penetration testing, vulnerability research, and incident response. Petko has worked on projects involving cybersecurity in various industries, including fintech, gambling and gaming, and government facilities.

Petko D. Petkov began their education in 1998 at the High School of Natural Science, where they pursued a degree in Physics, Mathematics, Sociology, English, and German. Petko completed their studies at the high school in 2002. Following that, from 2002 to 2005, Petko attended Richmond, The American International University in London, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering.
