Vitor Benevides X. Correia

Vitor Benevides X. Correia has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies.

Starting from 2021, Vitor worked at Onfido as a Software Test Engineer, where they were responsible for setting up Mobile and Web SDK testing processes. Vitor also led discussions and managed relations with Crowd testing providers. Vitor developed Test Automation using various technologies such as Espresso and Kotlin for Android, and XCUITEsts and SWIFT for iOS.

Prior to Onfido, Vitor worked at SumUp in 2020 as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

From 2017 to 2020, Vitor worked at trivago, first as a Quality Assurance Software Engineer. In this role, they created a Test Automation strategy for the trivago Business Studio platform using JavaScript and Cypress for UI integration and end-to-end testing. Vitor also acted as a Quality Assurance Engineer testing Mobile Apps to Hotel Search, performing both manual and automated tests while mentoring and supporting other team members.

Before trivago, Vitor worked at C.E.S.A.R from 2014 to 2017 as a Software Test Engineer. Vitor was a technical leader in a software test team for an agile project. Vitor supported the Manual Testing process, helped create test plans and strategies, wrote and executed test cases, and reported testing metrics for international clients.

In 2013, Vitor worked at FADE - CIn-UFPE - Motorola Mobility partnership as a Software Test Engineer. There, they tested new smartphones, their Android versions, new apps, features, and gadgets according to Google's acceptance criteria. Vitor conducted exploratory and sanity tests, wrote test cases, and reported test status and bugs.

Vitor's work experience also includes a role as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst at Accenture from 2012 to 2013. Here, they were involved in testing telecom postpaid, corporate sales systems, and AMDOCS suit. Vitor executed Middleware Integration testing, system testing on mobile applications and web environments, and user acceptance tests.

Vitor started their career in 2011 as an intern at Itautec, working as a Software Tester and Test Automation Developer. Vitor tested web environments, mobile environments (iOS and Android), and point-of-sale displays. Vitor also contributed to the development of a test automation framework and automated test scripts based on Selenium Webdriver.

Finally, in 2010, Vitor worked as an intern software tester at MV Sistemas, where they tested a complete healthcare web platform.

In addition to their professional experience, Vitor has also participated in an International College Program Internship at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida in 2009.

Vitor Benevides X. Correia completed their Bachelor's of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer Science from Universidade Católica de Pernambuco, during 2008-2012. Vitor further pursued higher education and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from CESAR School, between 2014 and 2017. Additionally, Vitor acquired the ISTQB - Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from Prometric in February 2011.
