Naz Malik has a wide range of work experience, starting with a position as a Bookseller at Waterstones in 2008. In 2013, they were a Teacher at Pal Ewam Namgyal Monastic School. In 2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at University College London. In 2015, they worked as an Investigative Journalist at Ecostorm, an Article Writer and Copywriter at Various, and a Software Engineer in Training at Makers Academy. In 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at Comsec International Ltd and at Monzo Bank as a Backend Engineer - Growth (Monzo Plus and Monzo Premium), Backend Engineer - Financial Crime, and Full-Stack Engineer - Customer Operations. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Co-Founder at Onfolk and an S21 at Y Combinator.
Naz Malik completed their secondary education at Reigate Grammar School, where they studied Maths, Economics, History, and Geography at A Level. Naz then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at UCL, graduating in 2014. In 2021, Naz attended Y Combinator's S21 program. Naz also holds a certification from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, known as the DofE Gold.
