Yevgeniy Izrayelit

Yevgeniy Izrayelit has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and biomedical research. Yevgeniy currently holds the position of Director, Biology at OnKure Therapeutics since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Research Investigator at OnKure Therapeutics from May 2021 to June 2023. Yevgeniy also worked at Genentech as a Scientist, Biochemical & Cellular Pharmacology from October 2018 to May 2021. Before that, they were an Investigator II, Virology Discovery Research at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) from May 2017 to September 2018. Yevgeniy started their career as a Research Scientist at ViewPoint Therapeutics from August 2015 to May 2017, where they led the discovery of novel therapeutics for cataracts. Yevgeniy co-founded ScholarsinTown from September 2014 to December 2015 and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University, Center for Biomedical Engineering from June 2014 to June 2015. Yevgeniy also has extensive academic research experience, having worked as a Graduate Student at Cornell University from September 2009 to May 2014, investigating small molecule signaling in Caenorhabditis elegans. Yevgeniy was a Graduate Intern at Pfizer from June 2013 to September 2013, where they developed a high-throughput screening platform for small molecule drug libraries. Yevgeniy has also worked as a Visiting Scientist at Imperial College London in 2012, where they conducted research on metabolism using advanced analytical techniques. Yevgeniy started their career as a Medical Assistant at a private clinic, Dr. Derek Enlander, from August 2007 to May 2009, where they supervised sample collection and data analysis for a clinical project.

Yevgeniy Izrayelit has a strong education background. Yevgeniy attained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Cornell University from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biochemistry at Vassar College from 2002 to 2006. Yevgeniy began their education at Ethical Culture Fieldston School, where they completed their high school studies from 1998 to 2002.
