James Devoy

James Devoy has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and IT advisory. James started their career in 2006 as a Director IT Advisory Service at Baker Tilly, where they provided consultancy and audit services to clients. James then worked as a Director Information Security for various contract clients, specializing in IT governance and audit roles. In 2009, they joined Trinity Mirror Group PLC as the Head Technology Audit and Risk, responsible for designing and implementing technology/cyber risk governance systems. From 2011 to 2020, they worked at Sysnet Global Solutions as the CISO/EVP Cyber Risk, developing and driving the cyber security strategy for the organization. In 2020, they became the Managing Director at 4thQuadrant Ltd, taking on roles such as MD (EMEA) for a global cyber security and digital transformation company, vCISO for a major European transportation and logistics company, and Advisory Board Member for a European software development company. In 2021, they worked as a vCISO at TIP Trailer Services, and from 2021 to 2022, they held the position of Managing Director (EMEA) at Online Business Systems. In 2022, they joined Asset Class as an Executive Advisor in Cyber Security.

James Devoy holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of the West of Scotland. James has also obtained various certifications throughout their career, including being a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec), a Certified Data Privacy Security Engineer from ISACA, and a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) from ISACA. Additionally, they hold certifications such as PCI DSS QSA, Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), BS25999 BCM Lead Auditor, ITIL Master Qualification, PRINCE2® 2017 Project Management Certifications, and CCP Lead Practitioner - Security & Information Risk Advisor (SIRA) from the Chartered Institute of Information Security.
