Overview:

The Pre-Press Artist ensures the layout, format, and appearance of artwork designs are within operational standards before the print run

Shifts Available: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay: Based on experience.

What you'll do

  • Prepare customer artwork for printing by reviewing spelling, type size, UPC verification, template/die lines, traps,
    overprints, text limits, line thickness, distortion, colors, bleeds, mounting marks, and registrations marks
  • Preflight and prep customer artwork for digital and flexographic production
  • Review job specs and customer requirements, art size, and number of colors
  • Revise existing artwork as needed to meet operational standards
  • Perform quality checks to ensure the artwork is accurate; matches customer requirements
    Interact with the customer service, sales, and production departments to resolve any issues or problems
  • Facilitates customer press checks in a timely manner
  • Maintain electronic files
  • Follow established quality management system procedures
  • Complete quality documents to ensure adherence to procedures
  • Adheres to all established safety practices

Desired Traits/Requirements:

  • Applicants should have excellent problem solving skills.
  • Applicants MUST have EXPERT level Adobe Illustrator skills and have a good working knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Prepress experience required.
  • Please note that this is NOT a creative position.
  • We are looking for a highly intelligent individual, with strong attention to detail, who can work quickly under pressure, with the utmost accuracy.
  • Our prepress department is Mac based.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of Flexographic Pre-Press Artist experience preferred.
