Andreas Velten

Andreas Velten began their career in 2000 as a Student at the University of Wuerzburg. In 2003, they became a PhD Student/Research Assistant at the University of New Mexico. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Media Lab. During this time, they also served as a Co Founder of the Formula Database. In 2012, they became an Affiliate at the Morgridge Institute for Research. From 2013 to 2021, they held various positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, including Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Associate Scientist. In 2015, they became a Co-Founder of OnLume and a Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery. Andreas also served as a Co-Investigator at the Laboratory for Optical and Computational Instrumentation from 2016 to 2021. In 2021, they became an Advisor at LandScan.

Andreas Velten completed a Post Doctoral Associate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012. From 2003 to 2009, they earned their PhD in Physics from The University of New Mexico. Andreas also completed a Master of Science degree in Physics from The University of New Mexico in 2008. Prior to that, they studied Physics at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 2000 to 2003. Finally, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Bayerische Julius Maximilians University in 2002.
