Johnson Black has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2002, they worked as Facilities Services at Ancilla Systems, where they were placed in charge of the "Cemetery Revitalization" project. In 2006, they worked as a Cutco Sales Manager for Vector Marketing. In 2010, they worked as a Sales Associate for Country Auto Center - Cadillac Chevrolet CDJR, where they gained experience in prospecting for new customers. In 2011, they worked as a Territory Account Manager for Stericycle, the world's largest medical waste management company. In 2014, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer for TASTEBUD TOURS AND EVENTS LLC, where they helped develop new tours, mentor guides and lead tours. In 2016, they worked as a Territory Sales Representative for Myers Tire Supply. In 2020, they worked as an Account Manager - Outbound for TBI Inc. Currently, they are working as a National Account Executive for OnSite Waste Technologies and as a Business Owner for Van Dough's Mini Artisan Donuts.

Johnson Black attended Indiana University Bloomington from 2003 to 2008 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
