David Velasquez

David Velasquez has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, starting in 1987 as Director of Laboratory and Billing Services at Meris Laboratories. David has held multiple executive positions in laboratory operations, including Laboratory Director roles at several medical facilities such as Sutter Health and Mills-Peninsula Health Services. David also worked as a Management Consultant at Huron Healthcare Consulting Group, helping healthcare organizations manage labor costs effectively and efficiently. From 2016 to 2020, David worked as a Principal Consultant at DVLAB Management Consulting. Currently, they work at Ontada as a Laboratory Systems Integration Engineer, managing and developing laboratory interfaces. David is experienced in HL7 message validation and test mapping across all laboratory disciplines.

David Velasquez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of San Francisco in 1979. David later completed a Certificate of Completion in Clinical Laboratory Science from the School of Medical Technology at Brooke Army Medical Center in 1981, before earning a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Management Information Systems, General from the University of San Francisco in 1986. David has also obtained certifications as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) from the California Department of Health Services and as a Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
