Meagan Simpson

Meagan Simpson is an accomplished communications professional with a diverse background in journalism, marketing, and public relations. Currently serving as the Manager of Communications at Ontario Centre of Innovation since May 2023, Meagan has previously held significant editorial roles at BetaKit from January 2019 to May 2023, including Senior Editor, Editor, and Associate Editor. Meagan's experience also includes positions at IT World Canada as Staff Writer and Associate Editor, and Carleton University as Recruitment Officer, where responsibilities encompassed sales, marketing, communication, and customer engagement. Additionally, Meagan has contributed to Ashcroft Homes as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator, worked as a freelance sports reporter and photographer for Ottawa Life Magazine, and completed internships at Bell Media and The Hill Times. Meagan holds a Bachelor of Journalism with a focus on Political Science from Carleton University and has furthered education with a course in Social Media Marketing from George Brown College.
