Hugo Bohorquez

Senior Research Scientist at Ontario Institute for Cancer Research

Hugo Bohorquez is a Senior Research Scientist at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research since June 2021, with nearly two decades of experience in precision molecular system simulations and a focus on enhancing drug discovery through data analytics and physics expertise. Prior to this role, Hugo served as a Research Scientist at CienCo, where advisory support for startups and strategic planning were emphasized. Hugo's earlier experience includes serving as Principal Investigator of a quantum mechanical project at the Fundación Instituto de Inmunología de Colombia, where multidisciplinary methodologies were applied, and as Chief Research Officer at Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores, overseeing multiple faculties and significant research budgets. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Dalhousie University, a Master's in Solid State Physics from Universidad de Los Andes, and a Bachelor's in Physics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
