Chris Vanden Haak

Chris Vanden Haak currently serves as the Director of Actuarial Services at the Ontario Pension Board, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this, Chris was a Senior Consultant at Mercer from January 2022 to August 2023 and held senior roles at OMERS Sponsors Corporation from April 2012 to September 2021, including Senior Advisor and Vice President of Pension Strategy & Governance, where responsibilities included providing strategic support to executive leadership and focusing on plan sustainability, governance, and risk management. Chris's career at Mercer also included a tenure as Principal from June 1998 to April 2012. Academically, Chris Vanden Haak holds a Post-degree diploma in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo, a Chartered Director Certificate from Directors College, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Brock University.
