Sandra Dykxhoorn

Vice President, New Nuclear Growth at Ontario Power Generation

Sandra Dykxhoorn is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the energy and government sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of New Nuclear Growth at Ontario Power Generation since July 2016, Sandra has held multiple roles within the organization, including Director of Business Development and Director of Provincial Relations. Prior to this, Sandra worked with the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development as Director of Parliamentary Affairs from July 2012 to October 2015. Sandra also contributed to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as a Strategic Policy Analyst, providing vital research and analysis for the animal sector. Earlier career roles include serving as a Special Assistant to the Minister of Indian & Northern Affairs and as a Research Assistant for the Minister of Agriculture & Agri-Food. Sandra holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University and has participated in an Inter-University Exchange Program at Sciences Po Grenoble, as well as earning a Certificate of Leadership and Applied Public Affairs from the Laurentian Leadership Centre.
