Buyi Zhu

Buyi Zhu is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Principal at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan since July 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Investment Manager and Senior Associate at Export Development Canada from October 2017 to July 2023, as well as Trader/Portfolio Manager at the Bank of Canada from September 2014 to October 2017, where responsibilities included managing a significant USD money market portfolio. Buyi Zhu also has experience as a Pension Fund Investment Analyst and holds an MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, and an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford. Additional educational credentials include a B.Comm with high distinction in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto and early educational experience in International Business and Economics from the University of International Business and Economics.
