Eric Hargrave has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Eric started their career as a Staff Accountant at BDO Dunwoody in 2000. Eric then worked at Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance as a Senior Accountant and later as an Analyst in Mergers & Acquisitions. In 2005, they joined RBC Capital Markets as an Analyst in Investment Banking and eventually became an Associate. In 2009, they transitioned to Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, where they held roles as a Senior Associate, Principal, Director, and Managing Director in Private Equity and Infrastructure & Natural Resources. Additionally, they served as a Non-Executive Director at InterGen, HS1 Ltd, memora, and Inmarsat.
Eric Hargrave completed their Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business, Accounting, and Finance at Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne from 1996 to 2000. After attaining their degree, they pursued several additional certifications. In 2001, they became a Chartered Professional Accountant through Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). In 2007, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. In 2012, they completed the Small and Medium Enterprise Board Effectiveness Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. Lastly, in December 2018, they obtained a certification in Negotiation and Leadership from Harvard Law School.
