David Silcott

David Silcott is an experienced engineering leader with a diverse background in software development and architecture. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Ontik since April 2023, David previously held the position of Technical Lead and Lead Backend Engineer at Youtility from January 2019 to March 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Calastone, Senior Developer at Zopa, and Software Architect at Experian. David began their career as a Software Engineer and Systems Analyst at Montserrat Volcano Observatory, where contributions included work as a Seismic Technician. David holds degrees from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, and Middlesex University.
