Daniel Smolkin

Daniel Smolkin has a diverse work experience across various companies and educational institutions. Daniel currently works as a Research Software Engineer at Onto Innovation since January 2023. From September 2020 to December 2022, they served as a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan. Prior to that, they held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oklahoma from August 2019 to September 2020. Daniel also worked as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Utah College of Science from August 2014 to August 2019. Daniel gained research experience as a Research Intern at Digital Roots in 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Web Content Manager at the University of Michigan, where they created a website for the undergraduate program in Mathematics during the summer of 2013. Lastly, they were a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Michigan from January 2010 to January 2013.

Daniel Smolkin obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Michigan. Daniel attended the University of Michigan from 2009 to 2013.

Subsequently, Daniel pursued further education at the University of Utah, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematics. Daniel studied at the University of Utah from 2013 to 2018.
