Panayot Panayotov

Panayot Panayotov has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Panayot currently holds the position of Head of Products at Ontotext, starting in January 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Data Management Products at Ontotext from February 2019 to January 2021. Panayot also held the role of Software Development Manager at Ontotext from July 2016 to February 2019.

Before joining Ontotext, Panayotov worked at ARGONAUT TRAINING FACILITIES LIMITED as a Software Development Manager & Solution Architect from October 2015 to June 2016.

Panayotov also has entrepreneurial experience as the Founder & Executive Director of Live Soft, a company they founded in January 2006 and worked at until May 2016. Panayot co-founded FaceRacer in February 2014 and served as the Technical Director until an unspecified end date in 2015.

Earlier in their career, Panayotov worked as a Senior Software Engineer at INABYTE INC from May 1997 to January 2006, and as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at Great Bear Technology Inc from February 1994 to May 1997.

Panayot Panayotov obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski between 1987 and 1992.
