Whitney's academic journey continued at UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Education from 2012 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Whitney O'Malley has also obtained several certifications. In January 2015, they completed the Mandated Reporter General Training offered by the California Department of Social Services. In May 2015, they obtained a Leadership Development Certificate from UC Santa Barbara. More recently, in July 2021, they obtained certifications in "Developing Your Emotional Intelligence" and "The Surprising Power of Seeing People as People" from LinkedIn.
